DRUSUS Son of Tiberius

Never Reigned

DRVSVS was born in 14 BC to Tiberius and Vipsania Agrippina, whom Tiberius later divorced in favor of Augustus' daughter Julia. Drusus became a Caesar in 4 AD when his father was officially adopted by Augustus. After Tiberius' ascension in 14, Drusus was sent to quell a mutiny in Pannonia, and was rewarded with a consulship in 15. After military command in Illyricum from 17 to 20 he served a second consulship in 21. With the death of his adopted brother Germanicus in 19 AD, Drusus became the heir apparent, but was poisoned by his wife Livilla at the urging of the Praetorian Praefect Sejanus in 23.
